How do you know Davy?
I met Davy on our first day at Plumpton Wine school over 10 years ago. Over the years we have been on many snowboard holidays and Davy even inspired my moving to the Scottish Capital for a few years with tales of high standards of living, mountain walks and the 'best kebab you will ever eat'. With a couple of ultra marathons and marathons under our belt, we are a highly competitive pair which I am sure will come in useful during the ride to push each other on.

Cycling History - I have a very much love/hate relationship with cycling. I spend the majority of my time not on a bike and loving it. However, I love to get outside and any excuse to spend time challenging myself with friends is always taken. I am sure the camaraderie and the inspiring amount of money raised will push us all on to the finish.

Funniest Cycling Story - Though not having a natural affinity for cycling, I do enjoy a challenge, and thus when the opportunity arose to cycle 1900km in 13 days between Westminister and Santiago on the Camino, I thought it sounded like an excellent way to spend my annual leave. During the first day, Westminister to Portsmouth, I managed to encounter 9 punctures along the way, one for every 10 miles. This coupled with a broken pair of mountain bike SPD shoes and my trademark board shorts instead of spandex alternative, provide something I can now 3 years later look back and laugh at.

Favourite riding snack - Fish & Chips

Thoughts on the ride - Looking forward to the sights and the smells of the Scottish Highlands, the hills not so much
