Cycling history - I have loved cycling for most of my life but remember cycling my first 10 miles on Bernaray about the age of 8. When I was 10 years old, instead of buying a Hearts football strip, I bought a Castorama Tour de France Jersey. Years later I discovered that the jersey was voted the most ugly cycling jersey of all time. I loved it.

Funniest cycling story - changing a puncture during a cycle race I forgot to re-engage my back break. On coming to my first downhill I soon realised! I had to unclip both feet and ‘Fred Flintstone’ until I came to a stop.

Favourite cycling snack - Dried mango
