How do you know Davy?
Davy is my cool older brother, I use his ID to buy beer and scratch-cards
Cycling history - I started off in a kids’ seat on the back of my Dad’s bike, feasting on custard creams before reluctantly going on family cycle holidays, and rides to school in the mornings. More recently I’ve been greatly inspired and encouraged by my Dad and Tommy and Davy to take on bigger challenges in sportives in Scotland, and longer, faster rides in the past 3 years.
Funniest cycling story - In the midst of 30 degree lockdown heatwave, completely gubbed by a tempo ride I was set upon and chased by two Rotweilers up the only climb in Essex. Luckily, I had the gas to smoke those pooches, and am a hardier rider for it

Thoughts on the ride - Apprehensive but excited. I was late to join the team; realising that I would be eternally kicking myself if I didn’t take the opportunity to be involved in an incredibly special event, and I’m delighted that I’ve taken the leap. It’s going to be the physically toughest thing I have done, but I can’t wait to take on the challenge with such a great group of guys - it is going to be totally epic and I’m pumped.
